Dalam diskusi yang membahas hasil riset Optimasi Sistem Energi Nasional: Transisi Energi di Sektor Pembangkit Listrik ini, As Natio Lasman menyampaikan apresiasinya mengenai hasil riset optimasi sistem energi nasional. “Saya salut atas hasil riset ini”, katanya sebagaimana dikutip oleh den.go.id.
Potensi energi baru terbarukan perlu terus dikembangkan. Hal ini menyadarkan kita untuk terus mengembangkan potensi yang ada. Mengenai tantangan intermitten atau tidak, perlu ada pengembangan teknologi yang berkelanjutan, ujar pria
yang sebelumnya menjabat Kepala Badan Pengawas Tenaga Nuklir (Bapeten) ini.
Lebih lanjut, As Natio Lasman menjelaskan pengelolaan energi merupakan hal yang strategis dan pentingnya pengembangan energi nuklir di tanah air, “Dengan memulai pembentukan Nuclear Energy Programme Implementing Organization atau NEPIO.”
Pria yang menyelesaikan studi S3 di RWTH Aachen Jerman ini berharap pembentukan NEPIO dapat berjalan dengan baik dan pembahasan hasil
riset optimasi sistem energi nasional ini dapat berguna bagi bangsa dan
negara.
Sebagai tindak lanjut, As Natio Lasman menyampaikan hasil riset optimasi sistem energi nasional ini akan disampaikan kepada DEN, untuk menjadi bahan pertimbangan pembaharuan kebijakan energi nasional.
Senada, Kepala Pusat Riset Konversi dan Konservasi Energi BRIN Cuk Supriyadi Ali Nandar berharap hasil riset optimasi sistem energi nasional ini dapat disempurnakan dan memberikan kontribusi untuk negara dalam mencapai Net Zero Emission (NZE) pada tahun 2060.
Analis Kebijakan Ahli Madya Joko Santosa menjelaskan riset menggunakan dua skenario yaitu Business As Usual (BAU) dan NZE. Ia menyampaikan permintaan listrik untuk transportasi meningkat tajam akibat adopsi teknologi Kendaraan Bermotor Listrik Berbasis Baterai yang sangat tinggi.
Kegiatan ini juga dihadiri oleh perwakilan Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian, Kementerian Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional/ Bappenas, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, dan PLN. (red)
