E-Techno. Tim Dosen Teknik Elektro bersama 2 mahasiswa Institut Teknologi PLN melakukan pemasangan alat peringatan dini banjir (Early Warning) berbasis Mikrokontroller dan PLTS di perumahan Villa Mutiara Serpong Tangerang Selatan. Pemasangan alat ini merupakan bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari tim dosen dan mahasiswa program studi teknik elektro, IT PLN. Tim PKM mengawali pemasangan alat peringatan dini banjir dengan survei ke lokasi Perumahan untuk melihat dari dekat aliran sungai di wilayah tersebut. Tim juga melakukan wawancara dengan warga perumahan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap tentang kondisi aliran sungai yang melewati perumahan di siang hari.
Kondisi aliran sungai pun difoto untuk dokumentasi fakta.
Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lapangan dan analisa tim, tampaknya warga Perumahan Villa Mutiara Serpong membutuhkan solusi alat “early warning” berdasarkan sensor ketinggian air yang dapat dipasang dan terhubung dengan perangkat HP Ketua RW 11. Dengan metode ini, Ketua RW dapat mengingatkan warganya ketika ketinggian air bertambah dan mengakibatkan bahaya banjir. Tim
PKM selanjutnya merencanakan rancang bangun alat “early warning” banjir berbasis mikrokontroller di Glodok dan tiang lampu untuk pemasangan PLTS. Fungsi PLTS ini sebagai catu daya alat secara keseluruhan. Kemudian tim melakukan persiapan perakitan alat early warning dan menguji kemampuan alat.
Pelaksanaan PKM berlangsung tanggal 23 Juli 2022 dan dibantu warga perumahan yang dikoordinir oleh Ketua RW 11, Ibu Riyanti. Proses pemasangan diawali dengan pengelasan angkur tiang alat “early warning” dan lampu untuk memperkuat pondasi.
Untuk menambah kekuatan pondasi, dilakukan pengecoran dengan campuran semen dan batu split. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pemasangan alat peringatan banjir pada tiang yang telah dilengkapi catu daya dari PLTS. Kegiatan PKM yang dibiayai oleh LPPM IT PLN diketuai oleh Albert Gifson dan anggota tim yang terdiri dari Muchamad Nur Qosim, Aas Wasri, Rina Hariyati, Tony Koerniawan, Rummi Sirait
dan Juara Mangapul.
Kegiatan pemasangan alat peringatan banjir berbasis mikrokontroller ini dilanjutkan dengan sosialisasi tentang pentingnya menggunakan alat early warning dan catu daya berbasis tenaga surya kepada warga perumahan Villa Mutiara Serpong. (Red.)
