Direktur Eksekutif MKI Eman Priyono mengatakan bahwa tujuan lomba menulis untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan wawasan generasi muda Indonesia tentang teknologi dan energi. Juga untuk meningkatkan pola pikir kritis generasi muda tentang teknologi dan energi khususnya di bidang ketenagalistrikan. Lomba ini merupakan yang kedua kalinya setelah sukses diadakan pada tahun 2022 lalu.
”Kami mengundang para pelajar dari seluruh Indonesia untuk bergabung dan mengikuti lomba yang sangat bagus ini. Hadiah sangat menarik. Ada hadiah uang pembinaan total lebih dari Rp 40 juta. Khusus juara 1 – 3 akan diundang ke Jakarta
mengikuti puncak acara peringatan Hari Listrik Nasional ke 78” kata Eman.
MKI adalah organisasi stakeholder yang bergerak dalam kegiatan pembentukan forum untuk menghasilkan pemikiran guna menumbuhkembangkan industri Ketenagalistrikan di Indonesia, baik dalam lingkup nasional maupun internasional.
Sementara itu Rektor ITPLN Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K, M.T., mengatakan bahwa lomba menulis ini sangat bagus untuk membangun komunitas yang peduli pada teknologi dan energi yang ramah lingkungan. ”Para juara lomba ini juga diberikan kesempatan melanjutkan kuliah di ITPLN, kampus yang dikenal berwawasan lingkungan, dengan beasiswa partial yang menarik” kata Prof. Iwa.
ITPLN yang beroperasi sejak 1998 memiliki empat fakultas dan 14 program studi. Keempat faultas tersebut adalah Fakultas Ketenagalistrikan dan Energi Terbarukan (FKET), Fakultas Telematika Energi (FTEN), Fakultas Teknologi dan Infrastruktur Kewilayahan (FTIK) dan Fakultas Teknologi dan Bisnis Energi (FTBE). ITPLN saat ini sedang bertranformasi untuk mencapai visinya menjadi perguruan tinggi yang berkelas internasional, modern, mandiri dan unggul di bidang energi dan teknologi yang berwawasan lingkungan.
Sedangkanmedia partnerlomba menulis essay ini adalah majalah ETECHNO the channel for energy and technology society, yang telah menerapkan konvergensi media dengan hadir multi platform melalui e magazine, media online etechno.id, kanal youtube dan media sosial Instagram. (red)
